General
We are pleased to
annouce the arrival of our new Minister of
Diplomacy, Eric Darkness, and the addition of our first

their membership is invaluable.

May
15th, 2000- Clan Toyotomi Rides Again
It has been three
very long months since I last touched this page,
due to a combination of situations and
abnormalities: host server problems, scholastic
obligations, and working lead trumpet in a
small-time production of Guys and Dolls
(a monumental task in and of itself, let me
assure you). Alas, things have fallen apart in
terms of our poor Clan. There is a distinct lack
of order as far as things are right now, and
because my computer had to be wiped clean I
totally lost my precious address book files and
thus contact with most of the Clan. I have thus
made an executive decision- to rebuild where I
started- sort of. As of right now, there are NO
definite members of Clan Toyotomi, save for
myself and the honorable Lord Samu. I am allowing
to have a clan size of 10 warriors from now on...
no more (at least for now), because, as I see it,
it will be much easier to keep track of and bond
with a smaller group of vassals. There will be a
new hierarchy, and new title roles to assume.
Here is the roster that I need filled:
1 Daimyo:
The highest position of power has obviously been
occupied by myself. I am the webmaster of this
site, and chief officer of the Clan. If
challenged, I can choose to have worthy hatamoto
fight in my stead- it is, after all, their duty
to defend me.
1 Chamberlain: The daimyo's right hand,
and his name is Lord Samu!
1 Minister of Intelligence: A position
suited for someone with slow ISP connections or a
lower-end PC (both of which I can symphatize
with). It is their task to be the eyes, ears, and
cloak-and-dagger combo of the Clan.
1 Minister of Diplomacy: Also a choice
role for those who have a hard time with lag in
MPOG. Wield the olive branch to dispense peace!
Wield the sword to smite the enemy! Surely a task
suited for a politician.
7 Generals: If you have a T1/T3, DSL, or
cable hook-up with a killer CPU getup, than look
no further. Fight, brave comrade! Take the field
and claim glory in the name of Toyotomi. And even
if your PC isn't blazingly fast, that's okay-
battles are won by fighting spirits and quick
minds, not kilobauds and megahertz.
Note that this is
a general outline for the new system and that
members can hold multiple offices as I and the
other clanners see fit.
The aim of Toyotomi is to have an enjoyable
online experience and participate in a more
relaxed online-battle environment. I myself am
not a hardcore multiplayer gamer, but would like
to lead a victorious group of loyal and patient
followers in the wide world of Shogun: Total War.
